- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I first met Dr. Kaufman when I saw him at Hoag Hospital for acute pancreatitis. If I thought my first impression was good? There were a lot more to come. Even since then encounter I, my wife and and assortment of friends of family have begun seeing him. I was knocked put for both the colonoscopy and for the Upper Gi tract examination. Never felt a thing. Before each procedure he takes his time to answer any question you may have on it. Whether there's an alternative and those those alternatives would entail. Post procedure; He'll come to your bed (he by the way has the best bedside manners I've seen in a doctor for years) There he'll carefully explain, accompanied by your loved one, since the patient may still be a little "out of it. He'll explain what the findings mean. Hopefully that you're safe and to be going on your merry way. But if not. He will refer you to the right people. If it's not something he can do himself.
